Big Data used in various domain

Few years ago, Most of data we used are by the computers and it is between their own organisation or in their private space. As technology revolution occurs, technology started to reach our hands in different forms like mobile, laptop, tablet,etc.. Due to it’s advancement, it demands for heterogeneous data and we started to share that data to the World. For example, mobile which we first used for call, then we started to send sms, mms, email, video and audio file, etc.. And we promoted the normal phones to Smartphones.

Soon this data gets manipulated and reached the exponential growth. The data started to demand the resources. So, to solve this demand, we started to build new technologies to extend resource efficiency. The resource which we are talking are storage, memory and CPU. At some point, there comes a problem where we can’t upgrade our resources due to the various factors like cost, space, maintenance, etc.. But the company which rely on data can’t say their customer that they can’t accommodate further data and at the same time, Company also can’t keep on investing on resources.

Social Media’s growth has greatest influence causing this problem. Each and Everyday, the users in social media share large amount of data within them. User’s count keeps on increasing. This brings new way allocating data is required.

Data keeps on growing and it has no end….

This problem is referred as Big Data. Due to this Big data, we have several problems like volume and velocity. Since the data grows the capacity to store the data also increases. And then we have another problem, that is I/O operation done on data will be slow. The speed at which the data stores and retrieve is delayed.
